Synopsis

Antimicrobials in blood samples can cause blood culture recovery failures. BACTEC™ blood culture system Plus media contain resins to adsorb antimicrobials and allow bacteremia detection in such circumstances. This study assessed resin activity against previously untested antimicrobials.
