Arpida’s lead product candidate, intravenous iclaprim, is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that targets severe bacterial infections requiring hospital treatment and which are resistant to most current therapies. Intravenous iclaprim is currently in Phase III clinical trials for the treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections (cSSSI; including infected burns, ulcers and surgical wounds). An oral formulation of iclaprim is currently in Phase I clinical trials. |
