Shared Imaging is a leading, independent provider of advanced, affordable diagnostic imaging equipment and services to healthcare providers worldwide. In operation since 1987, Shared Imaging's corporate offices are in the Chicago area with additional offices in Atlanta, Houston, Colorado Springs, South Bend, and Kansas City. We offer the latest in CT and MRI systems and provide financing options that provide our clients the means to manage this important technology.

Each client has a unique set of imaging needs and business conditions. By tailoring solutions to meet those specific needs, we have successfully assisted hundreds of clients in expanding their service levels, upgrading technology, increasing returns, minimizing risks and conserving capital.

Mission Statement

Shared Imaging`s mission statement is to become the premiere, leading, independent provider of CT and MR systems to healthcare providers throughout the world.

Y2K Compliant

All Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems supplied by Shared Imaging are certified to be year 2000 compliant. Any currently installed systems requiring a software upgrade to be year 2000 compliant will be provided one at no charge during a routine service visit. It is Shared Imaging`s commitment to our imaging partners to provide imaging technology that functions reliably and cost-effectively now and into the new millennium.

Quality Assurance Program

Shared Imaging offers a daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual review of our systems to assure our customers that their satisfaction is important to us.




Diagnostic Imaging Equipment

SHARED IMAGING QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM

Daily

  • Quality Assurance Images to be captured each day according to OEM`s specifications.
  • Quality Assurance data to be captured off of the QA images according to OEM`s protocols.
  • Quality Assurance data to be recorded and stored in a dedicated source book.
  • Quality Assurance data to be available for OEM engineers and Medical Health Physicist viewing.
  • Any variance in the QA data that exceeds OEM recommendation will be reported immediately to OEM Engineers by a service call.
  • Any variance in image quality will be shown to Radiologist. Radiologist will have the final word on whether the CT/MRI system is ``up`` or ``down``.

Monthly

  • OEM will do preventative maintenance per OEM preventative maintenance guidelines.
  • Preventative maintenance will be documented and left on the CT/MRI system at the time of service.
  • Any documentation not left on the CT/MRI system will be considered as not being accomplished.

Semi-Annually Review

  • Base films will be gathered during first week of initial service.
  • These base films will serve as guideline for all future visits to CT/MRI unit.
  • Client and Radiologist will agree on the Image quality on the base images.
  • Shared Imaging will have internal Applications Specialist review base films semi-annually, or more frequently, if a perceived image quality concern develops.
  • Applications Specialist will pull random films from previous six months and compare to initial base films.
  • Radiologist and Applications Specialist will review films together and discuss the quality of images.
  • If image quality has been reduced from the initial base films, system will be brought back to initial specifications. Radiologist will have the final word on the quality of the system.

Other

  • Client will have access to any data that has been acquired for the purpose of documenting the Quality Assurance process. This may include access to the daily QA numbers for the CT/MRI system, preventative maintenance documentation.

Interim Programs

Shared Imaging, owner and operator of over 200 CT and MR systems, is a leading provider of immediately available CT and MR systems. Our programs are simple and turnkey, so that you can continue to operate a fully functional Radiology service when there is an interruption in service due to construction, system replacement or just plain work overload.

Long-Term Programs

Shared Imaging provides long term placement of new and used helical and conventional CT systems hospitals and imaging centers. Our customized leases allow you to choose a program structure that meets your unique operating needs. Among our choices are fee-per-procedure and flat monthly rate finance options.

Each program is all inclusive, designed with your special needs in mind. Delivery, installation, complete training, all service and preventive maintenance coverage are integral parts of each program that make your operations easier and more efficient from the onset.

And if you have a problem with placement we can provide a modular annex or a parked mobile facility to house a system. We have the answer to every CT or MRI concern you may have.

Mobile Routes

Shared Imaging proudly offers mobile MRI services nationwide to answer your needs for this advanced technology. Whether you need ARRT technologists or ACR accreditation, our versatile and comprehensive mobile service will provide you with the best solution and affordable rates.

One of our specialties is exclusive full-time mobile service for Health Care Networks and their satellite facilities.

All of our mobile services include staffing, transportation between locations and maintenance of the MRI system. The OEM performs all maintenance and preventive maintenance for our MRI systems. And with our flexible agreements, you can have the services you need for the time you need it, whether it is as little as one-day-per-week service or full-time stationary units.
