Virtual Radiology
Neurostar is changing the way the world utilizes medical image distribution in tomorrow`s radiology department: Many of the radiology interpretations will be done by radiologists working outside of the hospital, the state, and even outside of the United States. Factors for this include the increasingly critical shortage of radiologists; decreasing reimbursement rates, which force providers to look for alternative resources; and HIPAA, which enables providers with the right technologies to attract imaging business. Market pressures are forcing the formation of ``virtual radiology departments`` that link geographically separate resources in real time using new technologies. Neurostar has developed an enabling virtual radiology solution and has begun deploying it to key national customers. Our virtual radiology solution empowers night reading, day reading, and over read groups to expand coverage exponentially. Our technology platform enables multiple hospitals, imaging centers, and even other radiology groups to transmit DICOM quality images quickly and securely to a centralized reading location.

Web Based PACs
Our Web-Based PACS solution has been designed to complement your current DICOM Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). Our solution enables you to leverage digital image capabilities by allowing images from any modality to be routed to other DICOM workstations, archives, and printers or viewed on a web browser from any computer with internet access. Our top-tiered and tightly integrated PACS solution has been created to enhance your existing PACS or to give you the ability to develop a PACS if you do not already have one.
In addition to distribution capabilities, Neurostar Solutions has developed a comprehensive digital asset (DICOM, HL7, Video, Voice, etc…) archiving system, which provides immediate storage of any digital data type. Although Neurostar`s software can manage your data wherever it is stored, the costs involved in scaling up your on-site archiving can be enormous. To address this need, Neurostar offers a complete hardware and software solution allowing you to benefit from secure and timely access without responsibility for maintenance, staffing, space concerns, or technical obsolescence issues.
The Neurostar system is creating substantial market interest by featuring a pay-per-use pricing structure virtually eliminating any up-front capital expenditures. And since the Neurostar system is HIPAA compliant, using the system to manage your existing PACS will also enable your facility to achieve HIPAA compliance without costly expenditures on updated PACS hardware.
Our MediStar™ family of products provides the key components of a successful PACS solution including Image Acquisition, Image Registration, Image Autorouting/Pre-fetching, and Image Archiving. Our solution has been developed using DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) standards and protocols that enable communication between virtually any diagnostic imaging equipment regardless of the vendor.
