ELECTRONIC PATIENT RECORD MANAGEMENT, EMRIMAGING
eMRimaging is an electronic patient record management system that takes the manual process of a paper-based filing system and converts it into an electronic-based system. By scanning patient records into a searchable PDF file that is stored electronically on a network server, physicians and staff can retrieve a patient`s historical records from any networked computer. It also allows patient records to be retrieved over the Internet from a hospital, a satellite office, or from home.
We have discovered that 95% of physicians have evaluated EMR systems, but less than 5% have purchased one. Their complicated nature and inability to easily integrate into an office have been their largest obstacles in the physician market. We have taken the complicated and made it simple. We created an electronic patient record management system that is so simple to use that office staff and physicians can master it in less than 15 minutes. Yet the document imaging technology behind the eMRimaging is currently used by government agencies such as the U.S. Naval Command Center and Langley Air Force Base.
DATA INPUT FLEXIBILITY
We have created a versatile electronic medical records system that gives the option of using both paper and electronic format harmoniously. Each physician has a choice of electronic data entry or writing on traditional paper templates that are then integrated into the patient EMR.
Some physicians or clinics may not feel comfortable with a full implementation of an electronic medical records system and would prefer a gradual addition of technology until entering full production. Our electronic medical records system allows practices or hospitals to start small and build up in functionality and features. It is also scalable to the size of practice, accommodating one-physician practices to full scale hospitals.
EMRIMAGING LITE
eMRimaging Lite generates universally accessible PDF files that are automatically Web-enabled upon creation. Every record and document incorporated into eMRimaging™ Lite is Web-enabled, allowing easy remote viewing of critical patient information. It meets the objectives of any EMR system:
- Improve patient care
- Reduce costs
- Increase efficiencies
- Comply with HIPAA
ELECTRONIC PATIENT RECORDS
eMRimaging is not billing or scheduling software. It does not create databases that allow you to manipulate the information contained within the database. It turns paper patient records into electronic patient records and helps you manage them in an extremely user-friendly manner.
eMRimaging Lite and eMRimaging create electronic medical records that mimic the ``Look and Feel`` of their paper counterparts. Electronic patient files are sorted and electronically filed according to four default criteria: patient name, patient number, type of procedure, and date of service (Note: these categories are fully customizable). Electronic labels containing the default criteria are automatically embedded into PDF documents. All patient-related documentation, whether it is a lab report, a progress note, or a prescription, is electronically indexed, and can be searched and retrieved from any network PC or Tablet PC.
Simplicity is the foundation of our software`s success: it is simple to setup, simple to use, and simple to manage. We provide a comprehensive out-of-the-box system that can be up and running in hours, without any expensive and time-consuming installation and customization process. Our electronic patient record management system is designed so that entry-level personnel can be in full production (running the scanning station and labeling documents) with less than one hour of training. End-users on a network can learn to retrieve, view and print patient records with less than fifteen minutes of training.
With our software package, you have the option of creating PDF files by two different methods. First, documents that already exist in another electronic format can be converted directly into the PDF format and added to our system for search and retrieval. Second, paper documents can be scanned, automatically converted into retrievable PDF documents, and added to our system for search and retrieval. Every PDF document and searchable index created by EMRimaging can be archived on CD-ROMs, external hard drives, or another storage device of your choice.
Patient information is automatically embedded into every electronic PDF file created by eMRimaging; everywhere the document goes, the label travels with it. This feature is an enormous advantage to our customers because it eliminates the need for database maintenance and our documents are Web-enabled. This gives you the freedom to move patient`s records from one directory to another, or one computer to another, and still be able to find and retrieve the patients records.
Our system uses a Web browser to perform searches to retrieve, view and print patient records from the system. Because Web browser software is free, we avoid a ``per-seat`` charge for workstations connected to the network. With eMRimaging, it does not matter whether 2 users or 10,000 users are on a network; the cost to search, view and print a patient`s record is the same.
Our entry-level electronic patient record management system is designed for 1-3 physician practices that want minimal interruption, a small learning curve, the ability to continue using paper, and to gain simplicity in their EMR system.
The eMRimaging is designed for larger, multi-specialty organizations and hospitals that demand more robust search and retrieval features. In addition to the features found in the Lite version, eMRimaging allows search and retrieval of a patient`s electronic medical record on the Internet from any remote location.
