Carina VT Limited is the distribution and customer support company for the Pulmonetic Systems LTV series of ventilators in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Responsible for one of the world’s leading portable ventilator technologies, it is dedicated to providing the highest level of service, after sales support and customer care, and anticipating the future needs of ventilator users.

Carina VT has been appointed as the UK support company for the Airox product range, manufactured in the south of France, which represents a major step forward in the management of patients requiring home and acute respiratory support.

Airox ventilators represent a fast-growing popular choice for home care management of ventilator dependent individuals and allow users a flexible yet economical package for long-term respiratory support.

THE SMARTAIR PLUS - PRESSURE VENTILATOR FOR INVASIVE AND NONINVASIVE VENTILATION

It is a pressure ventilator for invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and is ideal as a lightweight therapy unit. It can be used with standard CPAP tubing or with an exhalation valve with automatic recognition of the type of circuit used. It features several ventilation modes (CPAP, PSV S, PSV ST, PCV and PACV), a new target volume mode, internal batteries with up to five hours of life, oxygen enrichment inlet, Auto-ON function, selection of pressure curves and exhalation triggers, monitoring values (tidal volume, rate, I/T ratio and leakages) and on screen reading of all memorized alarms and patient compliance data.

THE LEGENDAIR – MIXED MODE VENTILATOR FOR VOLUME-CONTROLLED AND LIFE-SUSTAINING VENTILATION

It was launched in September at ERS 2003 in Vienna, is a mixed mode ventilator offering several options (pressure support and pressure controlled, with or without security tidal volume, volume-controlled ventilation and SIMV). It can be used in the treatment of most respiratory pathologies, as it can administer non-invasive life-support as well as invasive life-sustaining ventilation. With a modern and compact design, it gives up to 11 hours internal battery life, requires little maintenance and has low operating costs.

The LTV1000 – Compressorless Ventilator with a Range of Ventilation and Control Functions

It is a “compressorless” ventilator that allows a broad range of ventilation and control functions in a compact, lightweight and easily portable unit. Hundreds are already in use in the UK during the transport of critically ill patients, both within hospitals and by both civilian and military-led paramedic units.

LTV950 ventilators currently allow many UK children and adults with chronic or debilitating illnesses to be cared for in their own homes.

Carina VT Ltd. has a commitment to providing the best quality training to each health care professional in the products of its range.

TRAINING FOR VENTILATOR EXPERIENCE

For this reason we provide a full day "off site" training to carers in the community with structured objectives and competencies, at an economical price. This would ideally suit those carers without ventilator experience and/or at NVQ level II to III.

For those qualified professionals working within the acute environment, training needs are different and so the training reflects the level at which users require competence.

VENTILATOR MANAGEMENT PROGRAMMES

Below are listed the programmes available for the LTV ventilator or to additionally purchase:

• Carer in the Community NVQ Level 2 & 3. Full day off site, identifying entry level theoretical and practical aspects of ventilator management. CODE C-LTV00101.
• Qualified professional level - 2 hour session, identifying practical aspects of ventilator management. Maximum 5 per group. CODE A-LTV00102.

Utilising our own dedicated sales and service teams Carina VT are able to offer a range of support products and services designed to ensure that your Pulmonetic ventilator remains fully operational.

Maintenance Support Package

Carina VT maintenance support packages are designed to ensure that your LTV will provide years of trouble free operation and can be tailored to specific customer needs.

Spare parts

To ensure continued operation of the LTV, only genuine Pulmonetic replacement parts and accessories should be used. Carina VT is the only authorised UK stockist of Pulmonetic replacement parts. Most are held ex-stock at our headquarters in Aylesbury.

Loan Equipment under Service Contract

Routine equipment maintenance is essential to ensure the LTV performs at its optimal level, but maintenance can be disruptive to patients needs. To minimise this disruption, Carina VT Ltd. offers loan equipment free of charge for the duration of the maintenance period and should your LTV require emergency repair, a loan machine will also be made available in the unlikely event that an LTV cannot be repaired on site.
