SOFTCOPY QA SOLUTIONS
Solutions for image consistency and QA management
Plug-Ins
AAPM TG18- Effortless compliance with AAPM TG18 standard
To ensure diagnostic confidence on softcopy medical viewing systems, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), Task Group 18 has laid down quality standards to practicing medical physicists, engineers, researchers and radiologists.
These standards outline acceptance testing, which checks whether the display solution meets the requirements, as well as quality control, which specifies periodic check-ups to see if the system maintains its constancy.
To assist administrators in their efforts to make display systems comply with the AAPM TG18 standard, Barco has developed a plug-in to be incorporated into its MediCal QA software. In this way, these additional tasks can be performed user-friendly and almost intervention-free, thereby drastically reducing system administrator's workload and the total life cycle cost of softcopy display systems.
DIN 6868-57 - Effortless compliance with DIN 6868-57 standard
The DIN standard describes the performance of acceptance and constancy tests to determine the quality of image display devices.
DIN describes the parameters and tools to be used for acceptance testing. Both the manufacturer and user/expert should perform such an acceptance test upon installation or after modifications that could influence image quality and they should determine the reference values for the constancy tests making use of the described test equipment. Compliance to this standard is mandatory for German medical facilities.
To assist administrators in their efforts to make display systems comply with the DIN 6868-57 standard, Barco has developed a plug-in to be incorporated into its MediCal QA software. In this way, these additional tasks can be performed user-friendly and almost intervention-free, thereby drastically reducing system administrator's workload and the total life cycle cost of softcopy display systems.
JIS Z 4752-2-5 - Effortless compliance with JIS Z 4752-2-5 standard
The JIS Z 4752-2-5 standard describes the performance of constancy tests to determine the quality of image display devices. The JIS standard applies to Japanese medical facilities and is similar to the DIN 6868-57 standard
